The first challenge you face when you arrive in our city is how you are going to support yourself financially. There are many different career paths you can follow. You might choose a profession like a doctor or a teacher, or you might choose a role in commerce, such as working in a shop or an office. When you get a job you are competing with the other citizens, a good education helps, but also good stats for wellbeing and happiness. Then you may begin to climb the career ladder and over time if you consistently perform well you might get promoted.
Alternatively, you could start a business in the city. Do you have a product or service you can offer. Maybe you like buying and selling? Then you could become the employer, and with the right staff, grow rich and powerful in the city. But you will need customers, so marketing and location will be important. Why not rent a shop in the City Centre, or offices in the Business district and watch your business take off.
